Mr. Pat McKay will be speaking on TEN WORLD EVENTS AND HOW THEY AFFECTED ROCHESTER
AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.
From volcanoes and diseases to cults and inventors, you will be amazed by the world
events that have influenced Rochester and the local areas and how our communities have changed the world.
Patrick Mckay has been the Manager at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm since 1986. He is responsible for all administration, programs and events, fundraising and maintenance at this sixteen-acre, nationally registered historic park setting that includes the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse, the 1850 Red House, 1848 Schoolhouse, the 1927 Dairy Barn and Calf Barn. He holds a B.S. in Park Administration from Michigan State University and a M.A. in Elementary Education from Oakland University.
Pat and his wife Karen have raised their four daughters in Rochester Hills, raised two leader dog puppies, and in Pat’s spare time, he has been a part-time firefighter/EMT for the Rochester Hills Fire Department for 24 years.

By joining AAUW, we belong to a community that breaks through educational and economic barriers so that all women have a fair chance.
The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund provides funding and a support system for individuals seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination.
The Rochester Branch of AAUW meets for its monthly meetings the 4th Thursday of September, October, February, March and April at the Rochester Community House and other places the rest of the year. Call the membership chair for more information on the location of the Branch’s activities.
