Congratulations to these three 2022 AAUW of Rochester, MI members who are receiving the 50-year Golden Membership Award from AAUW of MI at the April 29-30, 2022 Conference in Midland MI. Our featured speaker is a retired Oakland Community College Professor
and academic developer.  He has a Ph.D in Higher Learning from U of M and
has been a contributor to professional journals publishing fourteen articles.
The presentation will concentrate on ways women can improve their finances.

Speaker: The Honorable Judge Julie A. Nicholson
52nd District Court 3rd Division Rochester, MI

Judge Nicholson will discuss the misuse of and addiction to opioids including prescription pain relievers and morphine, codeine and fentanyl. Suspected opioid overdoses for people 55+ increased 32% in 2017. Patients have the power and the responsibility to guard against this misuse.


Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt (Alias Russ and Nancy of Dore Productions) are introduced by program chair, Dr. Beverly Paurazas, at the Rochester AAUW Branch’s October meeting amid American flags and popcorn. Members and guests listened to their stories of meeting, marriage, children, entering into politics and finally the presidency. What an exciting night!
